MUSIC and the SOUL

circles and lines

Deborah asks and Deborah gets

Never masks anything she says

Then she says I’m making her wet…

I’d lose a fortune on that bet

(I can’t make up that kind of bed-time story…

except for Jorie, truly or maybe Lori and Anjuli)

Deborah smiles, says, “How’ve you been?”

“Have you met my evil twin?”

With my willpower crashing in

I’d like to redefine ‘definition’…

(Like ‘win, sin, the purest German Asian skin-tight

panties and ignoble fancies…’)

Deborah laughs and then she’s upset

She said yes, but just not yet

One long drag on her cigarette

She says her perfect life has no regrets

(well at 29, could you be so kind, to tell me why-not me,

pi is 3.14159265… I feel so alive)

Circles and lines, it happens all the time

Curves and lines, do you come here all the time?

Circles and lines, a circus of grand designs

Circles and lines…

thoughts

i've always been fascinated by coincidence and fate and the analyses of numbers...i think a lot of people "sit" on randomness and hope, where as, if we forced some issues, we might not have as much "blank" time in our lives...

i was away from home on an overnight playing the fiddle (trying to impress the chicks ya know) when i had one of the more open and interesting conversations i've ever had with a complete stranger...this song is that discussion...

this is another song that fell together pretty well in the studio, the pieces seemed to work...

btw one of my best friend's brother actually memorized pi to a hundred places or so...you see, i'm not the only one with extra time on my hands
