sometimes a song will start with a riff that you like and you try to build a whole song around that 6 second piece..the gtr break in the middle is that 6 second piece...
time is always a valued lyrical theme ...it's interesting how our lives are segmented into quantified "intervals"...it's always an outside source demanding those divisions of our time into neat and controllable terms..delusional to think we control that..
the instrumental outro is a conceptual breathing space, a chance to smell the proverbial flowers...
occasionally, an "absurd" line filters its way into a tune and i'll leave it there...A Christmas Story was probably on in the next room while i slept (an obscure Partridge Family reference there)
